The sun had just gone down over the campus as Dahlia set out on her late-evening stroll. At least once a week she found herself outside at night in the cool air wandering about. She thought it was because of the stress her family used to put on her, and other times she thought it was just best. A little fresh air always did a girl good. Tonight it was a bit brisk, but she didn't mind the colder weather. She would rather be cold than hot any day.
Dahlia glanced out the window of her room, scanning the grounds for a good place to be. The lake? No, it would be too windy. There were still people about in the courtyard. The Forbidden Forest?
She was always the troublemaker of her family, and feeling that she had seniority decided to venture out beyond the grounds where she felt most comfortable. But there she wouldn't be caught dead without her wand. Even Dahlia, who felt like she knew everything, didn't know what was out there hiding in the shadows.
Pushing her arms though the sleeves of her coat, she opened the door and made her way out of the building.
Once outside, she was greeted with a brisk gust of wind that nearly took her breath away. "Delightful." She muttered sarcastically, pulling her turtleneck up higher through her coat and shoving her free hand into her pocket, the other gripping her wand. She trudged past the other people, flashing a few a genuine smile and winking at others. Dahlia couldn't help that she was charismatic, even at times when she wanted to be left alone.
The forest looked ominous, but that didn't stop her. She was more fearless than someone would think. A smirk etched itself onto her lips as she adjusted her coat and entering the forest.
